Our concepts are based on extensive data gathering and analysis, which includes collecting input from all key stakeholders as well as leveraging our broad industry experience. Using set evaluation criteria, we assess and identify the best solution that meets your business objectives. Our engineers and consultants work with customer stakeholders to determine your business objectives. Using data analysis and modeling of your operational data, we apply qualitative and quantitative methods to determine the material flows, inventory levels and related details required in your future state. Developed system concepts are tested, costs are determined and economic feasibility is confirmed. Once the customer’s stakeholders give the green light, we can move into the Execution phase. Project teams are assembled, detailed designs created and functional specifications are determined. Equipment is ordered, installed and tested. Software and Controls content is developed. Once software and controls programs are installed, customer teams are trained and we commission the entire system. The system “goes live” and beneficial use is achieved. Final punch lists are completed and the successful project is accomplished. 24/7 software, industrial controls and mechanical support is provided after acceptance to ensure maximum system uptime. Looking to decrease order cycle time and increase reach to the east coast, they turned to long-time partner Bastian Solutions to help plan, strategize and integrate a new facility and automated warehouse system in Indianapolis, Indiana. Featuring new innovations like the AutoStore Black Line and in-line packing automation, the Indianapolis distribution center provides 10x more capacity and is 20% faster than their California facility. PUMA, together with their 3PL partner NFI/Cal Cartage, can now comfortably meet peak season demands with plenty of room to grow. Exacta software, for all intents and purposes, runs the facility. The Exacta warehouse execution software (WES) manages the facility throughput and integrates with NFI/Cal Cartage’s warehouse management software (WMS) to manage time and labor. With NFI/Cal Cartage’s WMS, the Exacta WES ensures accurate order routing, order tracking and inventory management. 5.5 82 10x MILLION UNITS OF INVENTORY INCREASED FACILITY CAPACITY ORDER FULFILLMENT CYCLE WENT FROM DAYSDAYSTECHNOLOGY Exacta ® Intralogistics Software BENEFITS - Coordinates multiple types of material handling equipment within one system - Provides real-time statistics and visuals of the automated system - Sequences and organizes orders to balance work load throughout the warehouse - Can interface with either PLC or PC based controls EXACTA WAREHOUSE CONTROL SYSTEM The Exacta Warehouse Control System (WCS) orchestrates material and information flow through a singular piece of material handling equipment or a complex order fulfillment system. Beyond optimizing conveyance, sortation and automated storage functions, a WCS can also coordinate mobile device-based, light-directed and voice-directed picking operations. The modular design of the Exacta software suite allows additional functionality to be easily added as the needs of your facility evolve. Bastian Solutions’ control system architecture solution – Human Machine Interface (HMI)/SCADA – monitors material handling and automation systems for consistently successful operations. Designed to be an intuitive and user-friendly graphical interface, the HMI and coupled software support provides complete, real-time visibility of warehouse operations with status updates, statistics and monitoring. WCS888.725.3046 | BASTIANSOLUTIONS.COM 9 EXACTA WAREHOUSE EXECUTION SYSTEM In a modern warehouse, there are many systems that need to communicate with each other for processes to run smoothly. This is especially true for operations that use any degree of automation. A WES primarily helps to synchronize automation equipment with other warehouse processes using real-time integration. It provides the primary interface to the WMS or host system and the control subsystems of the various islands of material handling equipment, as well visibility to the automated system as a whole. Clients can apply the knowledge gained from the WES reporting features to optimize the operations of the distribution center. WES BENEFITS - Flexibility | Our hardware agnostic WES can easily integrate with automation technologies ranging from goods to person systems to simple conveyance and can support countless automation manufacturers. - Scalability | The modular design of our WES allows the system to grow alongside your operations with the addition of new modules or modification of existing modules. - Communication | A single interface level (WES) between all material handling technologies and the host system can help reduce communication errors for more fluid warehouse operations. - Quality | As an independent integrator, Bastian Solutions has designed the Exacta WES based on decades of experience from various industries and knowledge of working with complex projects, designs and technologies to effectively develop high-quality systems.
